Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Cost Controller to join our team. The Cost Controller will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the financial aspects of our restaurant catering operations. This role involves monitoring costs, analyzing financial data, implementing cost-saving strategies, and ensuring that we maintain profitability without compromising on quality.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain effective cost control procedures and systems for the restaurant catering business.
* Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
* Monitor inventory levels and track usage to minimize waste and optimize procurement processes.
* Work closely with the purchasing and kitchen teams to ensure accurate cost calculations and inventory management.
* Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and adherence to cost control procedures.
* Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
* Collaborate with other departments to implement cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements.
* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cost control and financial management.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Cost Controller or similar role in the food and beverage industry, preferably within restaurant catering.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial software.
* Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of food costing principles and inventory management practices.
* Certification in cost control or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
