Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Female

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Quantity Surveyor in all aspects related to cost estimation, budget control, and financial management for our road and infrastructure construction supervision project in Abu Dhabi. Your responsibilities will include assisting in quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.


Quantity Take-Offs:

  • Assist in the measurement and quantification of materials required for the project.
  • Collaborate with the Quantity Surveyor to ensure accurate and comprehensive quantity take-offs.

Cost Estimation:

  • Support in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to analyze project specifications and requirements.

Budget Management:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring cost control measures are implemented.
  • Collaborate with project teams to track and report on budget variances.

Contractual Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to contractual terms and conditions related to cost and quantity aspects.
  • Collaborate with legal and contractual teams to address any discrepancies or changes.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all quantity surveying activities.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:

  • Work closely with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and quotes.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

Risk Analysis:

  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and assess potential risks related to costs and quantities.
  • Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies.

Value Engineering:

  • Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Recent Abu Dhabi working experience is mandate and total working experience of minimum 10 years.
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation, preferably in road and infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
