As a payroll officer, you will perform monthly payroll process and related activities in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
Brief responsibilities as follows:
- Establish and maintain employee details and confidential payroll records; update / enter salary elements, increments and deductions in Oracle.
- Receive overtime sheets of various Departments, verify against attendance records, calculate overtime entitlements and add to payroll.
- Review payroll data to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies, verify payment calculated and forward with requisite documents to Finance Department for audit.
- Generate bank transfer files and upload to salary portal or forward to Finance for upload. Provide employee details and Civil IDs for cash/cheque payments.
- Generate costing reports, leave and indemnity reports and transfer to GL.
- Send monthly update to HODs on employees' annual leave balances.
- Prepare leave salary advance and coordinate with Finance for timely payment.
- Respond to payroll related queries of employees and explain payroll and HR policies and procedures as required.
- Send monthly overtime trend reports to Center Managers and GMs.
- Process employee loan requests, track approvals, payment and subsequent recovery in payroll.
- Periodically audit accuracy of Attendance and Oracle system data, prepare and enter adjustments in system to correct employee records.
- Generate standard reports from systems and prepare custom reports summarizing employee statistics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as defined.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of all sensitive matters relating to the business in general and HR Department
Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience with in HR and payroll administration with good knowledge in Kuwait Labor Laws.
- Must have excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a strong sense of ownership to deliver department objectives and pursue professional development of self and team.
