District Manager

Job Purpose

To achieve agreed the overall team detailing, productivity and performance customers, accounts visits within a given district & team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To meet the overall team detailing average (customers, accounts visits / call frequency) within agreed timescales.

  • To achieve the overall team agreed contact, coverage and frequency targets through F2F and meetings, and manage delivery of customer centric activities with all primary and secondary care customers - within operating budget.

  • Ensure that expenditure does not exceed agreed budgets.

  • Ensure effective management of detailing team including training follow up and personal development in terms of ongoing training, coaching, and counselling through regular field visits and management of recruitment, performance, development and retention of representatives in the area through quality processes - working in conjunction and support from training and HR Department/SFE.

  • To ensure outstanding personal and team knowledge, and understanding of GSK CH priority products, technical information, product strategy, positioning, key messages, and programs.

  • To implement with excellence the detailing and marketing campaigns adhering to the relevant Codes of Practice/regulations.

  • To ensure effective communication which reflects leadership, focus, direction, and motivation of the sales team?

  • To develop and monitor an integrated operational plan which achieves the detailing mix in high productivity.

Knowledge/ Education / Previous Experience Required:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science, Pharmaceutical or Veterinary Degree.

  • 3-5 years’ Experience of Medical Sales in Consumer Health as Manager.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • High Mobility up to 70% of filed work between different cities.

  • Relocation might be required based on the business needs.

  • Excellent command of the English language.

  • Demonstrated high business acumen

  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.

  • Proactive, with ability to anticipate and plan, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions and respond to tight timelines.

  • Ability to manage and influence discussions with others

  • Ability and eagerness to challenge status quo; make quick decisions; and lead/operate successfully in an empowered organization.

  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiations skills.

  • Ability to facilitate alignment and collaboration across groups/regions.

  • Strong computer literacy including competent in Microsoft Office software
