Overview of the role : 

As an AutoCAD Drafter, you will be responsible for creating 2D drawings using AutoCAD software. If you have a strong attention to detail and are able to work independently, then we want you on our team!

What you will do : 

• Create 2D CAD drawings for ELV & Security Projects (Structured Cabling, CCTV, ACS, Gate Barrier, Parking Management System, GRMS, BMS etc.
• Program 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD
• Study architectural and structural drawings, blueprints, and other job-related documents and prepare specifications, quantities, and drawings of proposed work
• Use CAD software to create accurate drawings
• Prepare shop drawings and shop bills of materials and procure materials as needed
• Track inventory and notify management of shortages or overages
• Build models, shop drawings, and 3D drawings
• Build and test prototypes

Skills

Required skills to be successful : 

• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and practices (Etisalat & DU), Sira Requirements (Dubai) MCC Requirements (Ahu), SSD & SVG Drawings.
• Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.

What equips you for the role : 

• 3+ years of drafting experience in ELV and Security Systems, including experience with AutoCAD
• Certification in AutoCAD
