The Position

Roche Algeria in the Diagnostics Division is looking for a dynamic and talented Business Development Lead to join our team. Your opportunity:


  • As a Business Development Lead, you will play a crucial role in achieving company objectives by actively contributing to the growth and expansion of the business.


  • You will be responsible for thoroughly planning, setting business goals, analyzing performance data, and providing business forecasts in order to drive success in your assigned market or region.


  • Additionally, you will conduct research to understand customer needs and develop tailored business plans to meet those needs effectively.


  • You will be also responsible with hiring, training, motivating, and advising a team of Key Account Managers who are instrumental in implementing the business plans and driving customer engagement.


  • You will work closely with distributors and other business partners of Roche in the designated area to establish and maintain effective working relationships.


  • Furthermore, you will play a vital role in generating leads, nurturing customer relationships, and fostering long-term connections. By leveraging their expertise and industry knowledge, you will contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.


  • You will foster a shared vision, support their learning journey, and promote agile behaviors.


  • You will engage and foster connections with the network, sub-region, and globally to facilitate learning and experience exchange.


  • You will support and challenge Roche distributors in achieving business outcomes and adopting innovative approaches.


  • You will lead the development of distributor sales teams to continually improve capability, knowledge, customer service, performance, and profitability.


  • You will maintain and own market data, including size, main players, market shares, trends, needs, challenges, segments, and potential. Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities using CRM tools.


  • You will advocate for integrated diagnostic solutions and disease management solutions, highlighting their value to patients, healthcare systems, and society.


  • You will support the definition and implementation of a customer-centric strategy and promote agile ways of working.


Who you are:


  • You have a Master/Bachelor's Degree in a life science-based area, healthcare, biotech, biomedical engineering, or related discipline from a recognized university.


  • You have a proven knowledge and expertise in the healthcare and in-vitro diagnostics industry, preferably in Algeria.


  • You have minimum of five years of experience in sales, marketing, and/or business development.


  • You are bilingual in French and English with strong communication skills to effectively engage with ecosystem stakeholders and convey complex ideas. Additionally, having a record of people management and a creative leadership profile with the ability to inspire team members and other ecosystem members is essential.

  • Respect all mandatory rules regarding occupational health and safety, as well as instructions on protection against fire and other hazards, provided by the employer/designated workers
