  • As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to optimize the sourcing of goods and services while ensuring cost efficiency and quality standards are met.
  • You will oversee a team of procurement professionals, guiding supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management, while nurturing strong supplier relationships to meet the organization's procurement goals.
  • Your role includes supervising a team of procurement experts, directing supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management, and fostering strong supplier relationships to achieve the organization's procurement objectives.
  • Collaborating with various departments, you will analyze their procurement needs, anticipate demand, and implement efficient procurement procedures in accordance with budget constraints.
  • Your duties as Procurement Manager encompass the continual tracking and analysis of key performance indicators, including cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance. You will use this data to report on procurement milestones and lead continuous improvement efforts within the organization.

Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or CIPS/Quantity Surveying certification(s) preferred with a minimum of ten (10) years relevant procurement, logistics and materials management experience in the civil construction or similar industry.
  • Experience on large-scale civil construction EPC projects; experience in Iraq desirable or another heavily regulated, harsh environment country. Experience on site as part of EPC management team preferable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contracting, procurement, logistics and material management practices and principles applied by major companies.
  • Experience in managing procurement programs, including freight forwarding, land and sea transportation, warehousing and equipment preservation, managing a staff buyers, expediters, and logistics personnel on site.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal/teambuilding skills and ability to work within a diverse cultural environment and in extreme conditions and locations.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and oral communication skills in English as well.
  • Iraqi national preferred
