Maintenance Biomedical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Biomedical Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. As a Maintenance Biomedical Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment in our facility. You will work closely with medical staff and equipment manufacturers to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and meets regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical engineering and be knowledgeable in a variety of medical equipment types. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and life support equipment.
  2. Respond to equipment malfunction or breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  3. Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors for repairs, replacement parts, and technical support.
  4. Conduct regular inspections and testing on equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  5. Complete documentation and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  6. Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment, including calibration and testing.
  7. Train medical staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  8. Stay current with advancements in medical technology and equipment through continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
  2. Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of medical equipment.
  3. Strong knowledge of medical equipment types, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and life support equipment.
  4. Experience working with a variety of equipment manufacturers and vendors.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  6. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical documentation and procedures.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with medical staff and equipment manufacturers.
  8. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements for medical equipment.
  10. Proficiency in computer software and systems used for equipment maintenance and documentation.
Skills
