Job Statement
Reporting to the Head of Department, to teach Mechanical Engineering based subjects to national students delivering the Diploma of Mechanical Engineering Technology Programme. The incumbent is responsible for the delivery of the accredited curriculum, to assess students’ performance in accordance with National Standards and ADVETI policies to ensure the quality of teaching and learning is maintained and enhanced.
This is for a project between ADVETI and GHQ and it will be a Limited Contract for one year but renewable.
Experience Required
Essential:
Industrial engineering experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant vocational teaching or training with experience of qualifications delivery
Ability to teach some of the following: machining & hand skills, welding, mechanical maintenance, thermodynamics & heat transfer, fluid mechanics, CAD, hydraulics & pneumatics, robotics and materials technology
Preferred:
Assessor/ Verifier Awards
Practical experience in mechanical engineering with up-to-date legal requirements including and Health & Safety
Ability to deliver practical, applied learning
Work experience in GGC Region or similar location
Educational Requirements
Essential education:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Membership of Professional body, IMech or Equivalent
Language:
Excellent oral and written English essential.
IELTS Academic 6.0 is mandatory
Native Arabic speakers only
