Job DescriptionCLOSING DATE 23 FEBRUARY 2024As Service Engineer within NOV’s MDTotco (MDT) Team you will be responsible for the repair and inspection of NOV equipment globally both offshore and onshore. As part of our aftermarket service group you will make recommendations to customers which ensures equipment continuously operates at efficient and profitable levels. As service engineer you will react to equipment down situations as top priority and support servicing and repair projects on products ranging from RigSense Systems, E-Wildcat Systems, Softspeed, Block Control Systems. A strong foundation to your success in this role will be your ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics and the ability to interrogate, make minor changes to and fault find on customer systems. You will utilize your existing experience of maintenance and servicing of RigSense Systems, E-Wildcat Systems, Softspeed, Block Control Systems in varying environments.Duties & ResponsibilitiesService, repair, overhaul, inspect and identify faults on NOV MDT Equipment on a global basisSupport I&C projects as requiredMake recommendations on improving product and systems efficiency, maintaining continuous and high levels of operationReport and update relevant documentation including daily reports, survey reports, parts lists and service reportsRead and interpret engineering drawings/schematics to identify and correct faults, redline drawings/schematicsCollaborate with key stakeholders including Customers, Colleagues and other NOV entitiesEscalate key faults or product failures to relevant department and progress through to resolutionMaintain effective communication with customers giving regular status update reportsPromote HSE plans and support the continuous developing of internal policyPromote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and customersInspects NOV equipment for conformance with operational standardsRespond to emergency calls for equipment down situations when requiredCollaborate with management, engineering, quality and HSE personnel to resolve problems with NOV equipment and recommend measures to improve the operation and condition of the equipmentWhere necessary, liaise closely with other operational teams to ensure continuous improvement of all systems and processes.Keep up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE legislation and any developments that affect our industryAdvise customers on the maintenance and upkeep of their NOV equipment as per the various manuals, Product Information Bulletins (PIB) drawing revision changes, software updates etc.Carry out fault finding, repair and recommendations in a timely manner without compromising safety or qualityWorkshop management on a general level by maintaining inventory and incoming products/ shipments/ transactions24/7 on-call support with customers for troubleshootingQualificationsEngineering degree within Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics or related fields.ExperiencePreferable with experience within instrumentation and it will also be an advantage if you have some exposure to programming (PLC and or Python)Skills, Training Or Special KnowledgeFluent communications skills in Arabic and English.
