Primary Job Function:

• Finance Controller for Egypt is responsible for the coordination and consolidation of Commercial financial planning activities and reporting. The purpose is to manage the areas of Sales Planning internal and external reporting to optimize and control the efficient completion of each areas duties and responsibilities, within the general framework of local legislation and Abbott policies and procedures. 

Core Job Responsibilities:

Sales and Operations Planning:

• Lead the process, maintains and further develops the packages and all supporting tools for this process. Is the liaison between Finance and Marketing divisions for the Forecasting and Sales Planning process.

Financial Planning:

• Coordinate and combine financial data and company forecasts into comprehensive detailed reports.
• Provide accurate analysis of financial data to create reliable company plans and forecasts and is fully involved in Abbott’s Plan and Update forecasting processes.
• Responsible for accounting and financial planning and analysis including Monthly Flashes, Plans (Standards Development)/Updates, LBEs, LRPs and various “What If” analysis to support the day-to-day and strategic plans for the Affiliate.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the financial systems and processes (reporting, planning, financial support of commercial organization).
• Interpret financial results and recommend options.
• Apply standard tools to analyze data and information.
• Measure the financial performance of the commercial organization and assures timely and accurate month end closure.

Reporting:

• Maintain efficient and accurate reporting both internally (HQ) as well as externally (i.e. ARA, Intrastat, etc.).

Compliance: 

• Responsible for maintaining procedures and internal/external controls to ensure integrity and compliance with internal and external accounting, financial and business regulations, policies and procedures.
• To comply with the company’s policies and procedures to meet statutory, quality and business requirements within the overall strategy and objectives of Abbott Laboratories.

Projects:

• Support Finance in all financial matters by supplying business related analysis in a timely manner.

Administration:

• Coordinate, instruct, and promote the creation of a friendly and efficient working environment to enhance employee productivity. Responsible for encouraging the training and career advancement co-workers to achieve the optimal career course for the employee and Abbott. Working with HR to attract and maintain result orientated Abbott employees.

Education/Qualifications/Experience: 

• University degree with at least 8 years experience in Finance.
• Excellent written/oral English skills.
• Financial/Accounting Experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate within finance as well as to senior management and commercial organization.
• Excellent data processing, planning and organization skills.
• Advanced capability in Microsoft Office, including MS Office Excel and PowerPoint as well as other sales related IT systems.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
