The Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of production and maintenance within the factory, leading the operations team to achieve set goals and targets. His duties include but are not limited to:
1. Establishes standards and policies for production control, scheduling, lean manufacturing, operating procedures, maintenance of equipment, according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
2. Allocates resources effectively and fully utilizes assets to produce optimal results.
3. Plans, organizes, directs and runs day-to-day operations to meet forecasted quantities needed.
4. Increases production, assets capacity while minimizing costs and reducing waste.
5. Directs maintenance of plant buildings and coordinates requirements for new design layouts, surveys, and maintenance schedule for equipment and machinery.
6. Ensures tests are done on newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
7. Monitors operations and triggers corrective actions.
8. Manages production outputs, product quality and on-time shipping
