Technical Office Manager

  • The Technical Office Manager is required to oversee the design, manage the design team(s), and develop and supervise design projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop Design Ideas. Develop strategic plans for the project, determining with the Senior Project Team how long it will take and what it will cost.
  • Work with the client to choose specific design elements for the project, and determine if text or additional elements should be included in the design.
  • Oversee and supervise Design Projects including managing staff members and monitoring projects to ensure they are moving forward on schedule and within budget.
  • Participate in Client Meetings to determine what they want from their project and what specific design elements they may wish to incorporate.
  • Review Feedback from clients, then design or alter projects to fit the client’s vision, brand, and business needs.
  • Analyse market research, customer reviews, and other material to create more effective designs.
  • Provides guiding direction and ultimate oversight of the Technical Office works.
  • Works towards positive integration with the multiple functions to achieve an effective and cohesive working unit on the project Set direction and goals for the Technical Office Team including overall responsibility for corporate quality processes for delivery of program and construction management projects Work with the Senior management team to recommend strategic initiatives, goals, and objectives and once approved, to implement them within risk profile acceptable.
  • Responsible the technical performance of the Technical Office, including compliance with the contractual obligations to the Client. Reviewing and approving the Project Plan.
  • provision of services and products to required quality, safety, environmental and sustainability standards. provision of service and products within risk profile acceptable.
  • resolving Client and project issues above the Project Manager level and handling all liability issues.
  • ensuring remarks/comments for the Project Report have been resolved Counselling and coaching Direct Reports and consulting in the selection and leadership of the project team.
  • Monitoring Direct Reports performance, especially to ensure that the project outputs are subject to appropriate scrutiny and verification.
  • Dealing with clients for collection of payments.

Qualifications Required:

  • Strong Safety/Quality ethos. Analytical thinking to analyze data and determine how to incorporate their findings into the design.
  • High levels of personal credibility and gravitas.
  • Strong leadership ability with a dynamic mindset.
  • Ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ability to influence decision-making across all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong commercial acumen combined with an analytical, creative and proactive mindset. Strong cultural awareness.
  • Excellent time management to keep the project on schedule and keep team members working within the deadline
