• Draft, implement, and maintain company safety standards and protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, identifying areas of improvement and ensuring compliance with global safety standards such as BOSIET, NEBOSH, and IOSH
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees to boost awareness and understanding of safety measures
• Lead investigations into workplace accidents or incidents, analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions
• Oversee the procurement and maintenance of safety equipment and personal protective gear, ensuring they meet industry standards
• Stay updated with local, state, and federal safety regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant at all times
• Maintain detailed safety records, reports, and documentation, and communicate any safety concerns or updates to senior management
• Develop and refine emergency response procedures, coordinating drills and real-time responses as required
• Collaborate with department heads and team leaders to incorporate safety measures in daily operations, and liaise with external safety agencies or consultants as necessary
• Regularly review and update safety protocols based on new research, feedback, and technological advancements to ensure a continually safe environment

Qualifications

• Min Diploma in Engineering, with specialization in HSE or related discipline.  
• Possess certification in NEBOSH Minimum 05 to 08 years of experience in the management of large-scale heavy civil engineering projects at senior level with infrastructure (roads, tunneling, bridges) experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in ISO 14001 and OSHA 18001 standards or HSE  management systems is highly preferred.  
• Strong passion in HSE.
• Candidates having previous experience with Royal Commission will be given a preference  
• Good MS Office skills particularly in Excel, Word, and Power point.
