Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Economic Recovery Manager to lead the program team in south Tunisia.
The Economic Recovery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of DRC and implementing partners activities under the Youth Inclusion and Employment Project part of the Danish Arab Partnership Program.

Expected start date: 1st of May 2024 Duty station: Zarzis or Tunis (to be confirmed with the selected candidate) with frequent travels to the other location.

. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Project Management:
Develop a detailed work plan identifying and sequencing the activities necessary to successfully complete the project. Create a project implementation schedule that efficiently allocates resources to activities. Review the project schedule with the Incubator Manager and other project team members. Ensure efficient and effective implementation of project respective activities including but not limited to entrepreneurship training, development and evaluation of business plans, linkage to finance opportunities. Conducting comprehensive market assessment to identify the sectors with high potential of employability. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion. Submit budget projections for planned activities in the coming months and quarters for validation with the project team. Revise the schedule as needed. Working with agriculture cooperatives as well as small business to scale up and create new jobs. Carry out Economic Recovery activities according to work plan and allocated budget.
- Partners Management
Provide direct support to DRC partner organization in project implementation. Maintain strong relation with the DRC implementing partners under the DAPP YIEP. Maintain regular communication with implementing partners, including carrying out coordination meetings and tracking progress of assigned tasks. Ensure responsiveness to client requirements.
- Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
Ensure the monitoring of activities, progress and the collection of data throughout the implementation of project. Lead on the DAPP YIEP reporting process. Document case studies, best practices and lessons learned from the YIEP. Perform other related duties as assigned.

About you



To be successful in this role we expect you to have :
Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management and fieldwork in the region, Previous experience working with public institutions is an asset Ability to develop and maintain partnerships related to entrepreneurship, Experience in budgeting and reporting, Strong planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team;
Excellent skill in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Professional fluency in English, French and Arabic is required. Availability before 1st of May 2024.
Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required



Master’s degree in international development, social science, civil society, law, political science, Human Rights or a related field. Or Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields with at least 5 years’ working experience in similar protection positions.
