Scope :  

·  To build / nurture the School into a world-class school by driving the strategy, capacity and capability, infrastructure, and a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

·  To lead the team as a significant role model and lead by example in the professional conduct and practice

·  To ensure that leadership has a decisive impact on the quality of teaching and students’ achievements. 

·  Ensure to set standards and expectations for holistic development of students by recognizing differences and respecting cultural diversity in the community.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Specific Roles and Responsibilities of the Principal are classified under Four ‘Standard’ domains i.e. Qualities and pedagogical knowledge; Students and staff; Systems and process; the self-improving school system: 

  • Ensure to uphold the school’s vision, provide strategic direction, drive the leadership and empower the stake holders to excel.
  • Articulate clear values and moral purpose, focused on holistic development of the students;
  • Uphold the principles of transparency, integrity and probity; practice effective governance, enable strategic curriculum led budgeting to deploy the resources, enable leadership amongst the subordinates; 
  • Effective collaboration with external communities to improve academic and social outcomes; demonstrate entrepreneurial and innovative approaches for overall development of the school; 

 

Specific Leadership Role

·  Support the Governing Board, inspire, guide and mentor the subordinates and students to uphold the vision of the school;

·  Support the team to achieve high standards of learning; 

·  Smooth operation of school through the structured SOPs, policies and procedure; 

·  Strengthen the communication across all stakeholders 

·  Effective collaboration with other organizations to adapt best practices;  

·  Support the staff and peers to develop the deep knowledge of contemporary pedagogical approaches.

 

Qualification 

Trained Post Graduate. + B.Ed /M.Ed / M.Phil (FROM REGULAR UNIVERSITIES) 

 

Experience 

8-10  years teaching experience in the schools and minimum 4-5 years’ experience as   Principal

DSIB Inspection Experience from Good/Very Good Rating Indian Schools 

 

General Skills

Organization, leadership, communication & knowledge of the evaluation of teachers and to conduct workshops.

Strong understanding of the pedagogical strategies and holistic education to build tomorrow's leaders.
