We are looking for a high-calibre local graduate (graduated with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in the last 12 months) to join our Area Sales Office (ASO) team on a 12-month internship. From day one, our interns are fully integrated into Team Hilton and are involved in different aspects of the business. Our internships offer vast exposure and opportunities, such as the opportunity to network with senior executives, and for some, international travel and involvement in regional conferences. 
 
Based in our Dubai Area Office, you will also benefit from an open space office, located in Internet City, close to the Dubai Marina and The Palm Jumeirah and other interesting locations in Dubai. We have approximately 210 team members based in the Dubai office, we are a social and fun bunch of people driving the business for the MEA region from here.

The Opportunity
 
The ASO Intern will be responsible for qualifying new business leads through a globally aligned process of inputting details into Salesforce and following an agreed line of questions. These business leads will come from a variety of sources, including internal referral, and the intern’s own research of pre-determined potential accounts. In addition, the role includes supporting the wider team in organizing client engagement activities, including virtual race days and in-person events.

As the Hilton ASO intern, your activities will include:

  • Qualify potential new business demand for Hilton.
  • Be owner agnostic.
  • Support the creation of opportunity for client engagement, supporting hotels in market.
  • To implement and build Inquiries records in Salesforce.
  • To research and develop account information that grows the opportunity for account penetration.
  • Manages customer opportunities in both transient and group.
  • Follows procedures and processes in relation to qualifying new accounts or growing existing business development accounts to move from unmanaged to managed accounts when agreed criteria is met.
  • To communicate regularly with hotels to ensure productive and effective meetings are established and customer information cross-referenced and to ensure relevant hotels are well aware of the ‘Customer value’ when dealing with a tender coming from a specific customer.
  • Attendance at sales workshops.
  • Involvement in various projects to support the ASO team’s strategies.
  • Various administration tasks to support the EMEA wide ASO team.

What are we looking for?
 
As with any job, we do have certain criteria that you will need to meet to be considered for one of these highly sought-after opportunities. These are detailed as follows;  

  • First and foremost, Hilton is a hospitality company, and we are looking for individuals with a strong sense of alignment to our culture and values. 
  • You must have graduated with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in the last 12 months. 
  • You must be able to undertake a full-time (40 hours per week) 12-month graduate internship, from July 2024. 
  • We are looking for a candidate who is local to the UAE and will not require a visa to work full-time in Dubai. 
  • Excellent communication skills:  presentations, written and public speaking.
  • Ability to collaborate among cross-functional teams including external resources. 
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of ethical behaviour and absolute discretion with sensitive information.  
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Exceptionally organized and comfortable prioritizing tasks and working to deadlines.
  • Any additional languages would be advantageous, especially Arabic.
  • Strong administration skills including proficiency in Microsoft programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
