Organizational Context and Scope:

Under the overall supervision of Senior Programme Coordinator (MHU), and the direct supervision of the Programme Support and Monitoring Officer, the Reporting Assistant is responsible for the following functions:

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1.    Lead timely collection and cleaning of health information including, but not limited to, outpatient consultation datasets, medical referral tracker, medical supplies and medicines tracker, and visibility information for the health programme;
2.    Support in the basic analysis of health data for the purpose of creating draft analytic reports;
3.    Support the completion of monitoring and assessment activities at project sites;
4.    Work towards timely collection of programme reports and track data submissions from health facilities, focal points and district sub-offices;
5.    Support the PS and Monitoring Officer (PSMO) with drafting narrative of internal and external programme reports;
6.    Organize and maintain the data management system, including the assessments, on the shared drive and update each week.
7.    Regularly update MHU project monitoring matrix in consultation with the Programme Support Officer (MH) and present programme progress at MHU team meetings;
8.    Support the PSMO in rolling out related standard operating procedures in MHU;
9.    Performs such other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • University Degree in health discipline from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant work experience, or
  • High School diploma with at least five years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Relevant work experience in health information management, data visualization and analysis, report writing field.
  • Operational and programmatic experience in international humanitarian field, displaced populations’ health, and programme support is an advantage.

LANGUAGES

For all applicants, fluency in English and Arabic is required (oral and written).

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in performing responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; demonstrated ability to draft clear and concise qualitative reports and graphical infosheet with correct labelling is essential.
  • Advanced planning, coordination, assessment, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in performing responsibilities.
  • Attention to details, ability to organize and commitment to the time-bound actualization of set objectives.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues in a team.
  • Sound experience with data analysis and data visualization. Familiarity with the software including MS Excel, Power BI, Microsoft SQL server, ArcGIS, ODK and XLS Forms, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is an advantage.
