Business Development Specialist - Automation

Job Summary:

We are actively seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic Automation team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within the electrical and automation sectors. Responsibilities include conducting thorough market research, building and maintaining robust client relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in business development within the electrical and automation industries.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities and explore potential market avenues in the automation field. Analyze market size, top customers, competitors, value chains, etc., and contribute to establishing/improving the industry ecosystem.
  2. Understand and succinctly summarize the application needs of industry clients, providing crucial support in the development of application solutions.
  3. Develop industry battle manuals and execute benchmark customer business breakthroughs.
  4. Formulate and implement effective sales strategies to expand our customer base.
  5. Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with clients in the electrical and automation industries.
  6. Collaborate with technical teams to comprehend customer needs, offer technical solutions, and liaise with the sales department for public relations with major clients, promoting industry application solutions.
  7. Establish internal communication channels to optimize industry information and resources.
  8. Identify and participate in relevant industry events and conferences to stay abreast of industry trends and technologies.
  9. Work closely with the team to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the same field, with a preference for candidates with experience in automation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques, CRM tools, and sales reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote colleagues and customers.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, industry events, etc., as needed.
