Packing Helper

Responsibilities:

  1. Packing and Inspection: Properly pack items into boxes or containers, ensuring that products are secure and protected during transit. Inspect items for defects or damage before packing.
  2. Labeling: Affix appropriate shipping labels, barcodes, and documentation to packages, ensuring accuracy in labeling and tracking.
  3. Materials Handling: Handle packaging materials such as boxes, bubble wrap, tape, and packing materials efficiently and safely.
  4. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality control to ensure that all products are packed according to company guidelines and quality standards.
  5. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory levels of packaging materials, and report any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  6. Organization: Keep the packing area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with the shipping department to coordinate the timely dispatch of packed orders.
  8. Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in packing or a related role is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move moderately heavy packages.
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations is a plus.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and quality standards.
