Médecins Sans Frontières Belgium in Yemen mission is looking for Yemeni nationals to recruit for the following position:

 PHARMACY MANAGER

Location: Shabwa- Ataq Project
Contract type: Fixed-term contract 
Contract Duration: 6 months - Renewable
Reporting to: Project Medical Referent

MAIN PURPOSE

Ensuring general functioning of the pharmacy and Managing the Project Supply chain processes in accordance with MSF standards, protocols and procedures, in order to ensure its efficiency and operating protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Good  project management and arrangement of all pharmacies according to MSF guidelines; hygiene, humidity and security of premises are ensured and monitored;
  • CAPAs for central pharmacy and EUUs are elaborated and regularly updated;
  • Enusre a chronogram of activities exist and the supply/distribution plan to the project and EUUs is updated;
  • All ordering tools are in place, ALPAs and QUOTA are regularly updated;
  • Ensures correct and effective order management and the existence of needed protocols and procedures (SOP for orders management);
  • S/he ensures correct controlled drugs management according to MSF guidelines and national regulations (keeping prescriptions, keeping empty ampules, reporting….) and the SoPs exist and updated;
  • Ensures correct management of the project med EPREP stock and the med EPREP stock capacity to respond in case of emergencies; s/he will ensure proper cold chain management and contingency plan in the project. SoPs exist and updated;
  • Uphold and Ensure that Clinical pharmacy practices are implemented (pharmacovigilence, ATB stewardship), pharmacists participate in hospital medical rounds and good pharmacy practices are followed in pharmacy dispensaries including regular prescriptions’ quality analysis;
  • Ensure Good Management of Expired drugs and medical products and clear procedures (SoP) exist.
  • Isystock and other pharmacy management tools are well used and updated;
  • Real consumptions are well captured, well recorded in Isystock and well analysed for orders calculation and forecasting;
  • S/he ensures stock availability and avoid losses by doing good analysis of pharmacy data and anticipation especially for ruptures and expiries and monitoring of overstocks and sleeping stocks;
  • S/he ensures correct use of biomed equipments and the proper calculation/ordering of biomed needs;
  • Pharmacy activities’ reports including Sitrep, MMSR, controlled drugs report… are elaborated and timely shared according to chronogram; s/he ensures their accuracy to help for decision-making.

MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities

  • In collaboration with PMR, log/supply and coordination teams,ensure that the project pharmacies / Warehouse are well managed and arranged according to MSF Standards (GSDP and GPP): 
  • The project pharmacy manager establishes an efficient data recording and management system, ensures rational use of medical products, correct pharmacy KPIs analysis and reporting:
  • Active participation in the ARO (Budget) exercise, in the elaboration of project MSL and forecast and ensure their correct follow-up:
  • Ensure training and coaching of project pharma/med/supply teams in required pharmacy management skills and correct team sizing and supervision of pharmacy team:

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Essential, degree in Bachelor of Pharmacy
Experience: At least 2 years certified work experience in some of the related activities preferably at Managerial level
Language: Fluent English and Arabic mandatory
