As a result, the organization has established itself among the most effective civil society organizations in Yemen that are working on health, education, and WASH issues in support of women, children, and youth. Operating out of its Headquarters in Sana’a and its offices in Taiz and Aden, SOUL, provides critical educational, health, and WASH services to urban and rural communities. 

Job Information

  • Job Title:  Engineer Assistant
  • Location: Taiz.
  • Contract Type: Full Time.
  • Contract Duration: 3 Month.
  • Start Date: As soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the implementation of construction/rehabilitation works for the school building, including WASH, sanitation and hygiene facilities, by the contractor.
  • Field visits on a daily basis to follow up on the progress of the contractor’s work and guide the work.
  • Report any challenges and deviations immediately.
  • Managing safety and protection procedures and measures at the work site.
  • Supporting reports and documentation of impact and success stories and providing the necessary documents related to the work.
  • Any related tasks/duties assigned by the line manager or project engineer.    

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • Prior two-year experience in position is preferred.
  • Very good spoken and written Arabic and English.
  • Willing to undertake regular field visits to another governorate
  • Excellent computer skills including the usage of Microsoft office.
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
