Assistant Waiter - Food Runner

Under the guidance and supervision of the Waiter, Head waiter, Team leader, and within the limits of established policies and procedures, is responsible for assisting Waiter in serving customers. 

Key Result Activities:

Ensures that our guests receive prompt, friendly and personalized service. Has a complete understanding of the operational philosophy of each of our restaurants and conveys the same to our customers. Possesses sound knowledge of our products i.e. food and drinks. Caters to the needs of our guests by suggestively selling our food and beverage items. Accommodates our guests’ time restrictions through timely service and making double-check. Notifies Waiter of specific guests’ needs and requests. 

Key Result Activities:

Act as a final check on the quality of food and beverage items before they are served.

Key Result Activities:

Perform properly opening and closing duties.

Have a thorough knowledge of menu items. Prepare all side duties relating to service before the beginning of the shift. Prepare side stations and make sure they are well stocked to last for the entire service.

Strictly following the sequence of service with Waiter to ensure customer satisfaction.

Be available at the section at all times and perform any task requested by Waiter.

Inform Waiter in case of need to leave the section. Clear debarras and c hange ashtrays regularly as per SOP.

Assist Waiter when needed in serving food and drinks to the table. Assist customers in case Waiter is busy.

Clear and reset tables immediately after customers have left the restaurant to assist in table turnover.

Responsible for shining.

Follow safety and hygiene standards.


Skills

Key Result Activities:

Set up tables as per SOP and ensure cutlery, plates, glasses,ashtrays,salt & pepper shakers, etc. are clean and in good condition. Ensure cleanliness s of restaurant (tables,C h a irs , c o u c h e s floor, side stations,tray jacks etc.). Responsible for always keeping his workstation clean. Maintains table standards by clearing all used plates, glassware etc. and by bussing tables and spot sweeping, as needed. Send soiled and collect clean linen from laundry before and after each meal period.

Key Result Activities:

Acts as a role model to new staff members by displaying a high level of professionalism and integrity. Always informs the manager when leaving the floor for any reason
