The Dietician/Nutritionist is responsible for providing professional consultation and advice on patient’s health needs. He/she designs nutritional programs to improve and maintain the health of the patient.
- Counsel and assess patient dietary health needs and wellness goals and develop appropriate nutrition program
- Educate patients on nutrition to promote healthy eating
- Evaluate the effects of meal plans and revise the plans as needed
- Work and collaborate with other medical doctors to achieve patient’s health goals
- Write reports to document patient progress and maintain an accurate records
- Work directly with the Medical Director to ensure quality of medical protocols
- Attend and participate in conferences, meetings and other activities in order to maintain and improve the quality of service provided in the clinic
- Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge, skills and expertise
- Keep up to date on latest nutritional science research
- Communicate and liaise with health/medical authorities when required
- Ensure adherence to local, state and federal laws in administering treatments
Skills
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Dietetics OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science with major in Nutrition AND Post graduate Diploma or Master in Dietetics OR
Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition/Public Health Nutrition
Minimum Experience:
5+ years experience as clinical dietician in a health facility or nutrition in the UAE.
