A dental technician is responsible for fabricating dental restorations, such as crowns, bridges, and dentures, to restore or improve the function and appearance of a patient's teeth. As an Implant Specialist, you will focus specifically on designing and creating dental restorations for dental implants. This role requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail to ensure the restorations fit properly and meet the patient's needs.
Responsibilities:
Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum of 1-7 years of experience as a dental technician, with a focus on implant restorations.
- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and dental laboratory equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity to accurately create dental restorations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with dentists and other dental professionals.
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and occlusion to ensure the proper fit and function of the dental restorations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Experience with digital dentistry and 3D printing is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental laboratory safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Ability to adapt to new techniques and technologies as they emerge in the field of dental technology.
