We are supporting them in the search for a Performance Marketing Engineer – someone who blends deep technical marketing expertise with backend/automation skills to drive measurable growth.
This role suits an individual who enjoys performance optimisation, building systems, and working across marketing, analytics, and engineering.
About the Role Our client is looking for a Performance Marketing Engineer to manage and optimise campaigns across multiple digital channels, build automation, implement tracking frameworks, and drive data-led growth. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, owning the full performance marketing ecosystem—from acquisition to attribution.
Key Responsibilities Digital Campaign Management Set up, manage, and scale performance campaigns across Meta Ads, Google Ads (Search, Display, PMax), You Tube Ads, and Linked In Ads. Continuously optimise for growth, cost efficiency, and ROI.
Data, Tracking & Attribution Implement and manage tracking using Google Tag Manager, GA4, server-side tracking, and Meta Pixel. Ensure accurate data capture, attribution, and performance measurement.
Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Analyse user behaviour and run A/B tests. Optimise landing pages to improve conversion across the funnel.
Automation & Scaling Use Google Ads Scripts, APIs, and automation tools to streamline workflows. Build scalable processes that improve speed, efficiency, and performance output.
Analytics & Reporting Monitor campaign performance across analytics tools: Google Analytics, Looker Studio, SQL, and data visualisation platforms. Deliver actionable insights that guide decision-making.
Budget & ROI Management Manage spend, optimise bidding strategies, and forecast ROAS across channels. Drive maximum output from budgets while maintaining performance targets.
API Development & Integrations Work with APIs including Whats App Business API, Meta API, and third-party chat/automation tools (Twilio, Vonage, WATI). Build integrations that enhance automation, messaging flows, and lead routing.
Backend Development Develop backend solutions in Python or Node.js to support marketing automation systems. Build tools and features that enhance marketing performance infrastructure.
Webhooks & Event-Driven Systems Set up and maintain real-time data flows and message handling using webhooks. Ensure smooth synchronisation between marketing tools, automation systems, and backend infrastructure.
What We’re Looking For A great candidate will be someone who is curious, analytical, and able to learn quickly. Ideally, you will also bring:2–3 years’ experience in performance marketing with strong hands-on knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, You Tube Ads, and Linked In Ads. Strong technical capability across GTM, GA4, server-side tracking, Meta Pixel, and attribution frameworks. Solid understanding of CRO, landing page optimisation, and A/B testing. Experience with automation—Google Ads Scripts, API integrations, and workflow automation tools. Strong analytics background with proficiency in Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and SQL. Experience in budget ownership, bid optimisation, and ROAS forecasting. Exposure to API-driven systems (Whats App Business API, Meta API, Twilio, Vonage, WATI). Backend development experience in Python and/or Node.js. Experience working with webhooks and event-driven architectures.
Nice to Have Experience with Tik Tok Ads, Twitter/X Ads, or programmatic platforms. Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation tools. Strong project management or cross-functional collaboration skills.
