Responsibilities:

1. Sort and organize mail and parcels for delivery according to designated routes and schedules.
2. Load and unload delivery vehicles with mailbags, packages, and other items for distribution.
3. Deliver mail, packages, and other items to residential and commercial addresses on foot or by vehicle, following established delivery routes and safety protocols.
4. Obtain signatures or collect payments for registered mail, packages, or special deliveries as required.
5. Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of mail and parcels while adhering to established delivery standards and service commitments.
6. Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and courteously, providing assistance and information as needed.
7. Collect outgoing mail and packages from customers and ensure proper handling and processing for delivery.
8. Complete delivery route logs, records, and reports accurately, documenting any incidents, delays, or issues encountered during delivery.
9. Follow all postal regulations, policies, and procedures regarding mail handling, security, and confidentiality.
10. Maintain cleanliness and organization in delivery vehicles and work areas, including sorting facilities and mailboxes.

Skills

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if required for the position).
3. Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy objects, including mailbags and packages.
4. Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods, and delivery routes.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and delivering mail and packages.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet delivery deadlines.
8. Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to customer service excellence.
9. Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
10. Knowledge of postal regulations, safety procedures, and delivery standards preferred.
